A day after decommitting from Texas, Sione and Maea Teuhema commit to LSU

Sione and Maea Teuhema's time uncommitted from a school didn't last long.

On Tuesday, the brothers decommitted from Texas. On Wednesday, Sione committed to LSU by signing his National Letter of Intent with the Tigers and Maea verbally committed to coach Les Miles's program.

Sione is a three-star prospect according to Rivals and the No. 25 defensive end in the country. Maea is one of the most coveted recruits in the class of 2015. As a five-star offensive tackle, he's listed as the No. 17 prospect overall in the class of 2015 and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Texas.

The brothers decommitted from Texas after taking an official visit to LSU over the weekend. It was a change in affinity from January, when they said that they were still committed to Texas after Mack Brown's resignation and Charlie Strong's hire as the Longhorns' head coach.

Sione's commitment solidifies LSU's 2014 class as a top-10 class in Rivals' 2014 team rankings while Maea's verbal commitment gives the Tigers a huge boost in early 2015 team rankings. Ideally, Maea would slide in as a a replacement for offensive tackle La'el Collins, who announced that he was returning to LSU for his senior season in January.
