Cal WR Chris Harper hauls in awesome one-handed TD catch (GIFs)

At 4-2, Cal is a much-improved team in 2014, but it faced its toughest test of the year at home Saturday against UCLA. Chris Harper, a junior wide receiver for the Bears, did all he could to help Cal against the Bruins, an in-state Pac-12 rival.

Midway through the second quarter, the Bears had great field position at the Bruins 20-yard line after a muffed punt. Two plays later, on a second-and-goal from the 7-yard line, Cal QB Luke Rubenzer looked toward Harper in the end zone.

Harper fought through a pass interference call and hauled in the pass with one hand for a touchdown, putting Cal ahead 14-10.

At just 5-foot-11, Harper showed impressive leaping ability and great concentration for his fourth touchdown grab of the year.

After Harper’s touchdown, UCLA responded by closing out the half with two touchdowns to take a 24-14 halftime lead. Cal didn't go down quietly, though.

The second half was a back-and-forth affair, but UCLA managed to come out on top with a 36-34 win ater a late interception by the Bruins' Marcus Rios was upheld following a review.

UCLA improved to 5-2 with the win while Cal dropped to 4-3.
