Alabama fans show their support for kicker Cade Foster on Facebook

Following Alabama’s loss to Auburn, some Tide “fans” took to Twitter to harass kicker Cade Foster, who missed all three of his field goal attempts in the game.

The harassment ranged from threats to profanity-laced outbursts, which caused Alabama linebacker CJ Mosley to call out Alabama fans and support his teammate.

But Mosley wasn’t the only one who rushed to Foster's side.

A Facebook page title “Bama fans supporting Cade Foster” was created and at the time of this posting more than 79,000 people have liked the page.

The page is even promoting the sale of T-shirts with the No. 43 on the front and the words “I Stand With Cade” underneath. The back has a goalpost with the letters “RTR” in the middle.

As I noted Sunday, there were many things that led to Alabama’s loss and plenty of blame to go around. Heaping it all on Foster is pointless and ridiculous. We can only hope Foster has been made aware of this page and can see he still has a great deal of support in the Alabama community.
