Maryland and Northwestern provide wildly entertaining 30 seconds

No. 4 Maryland went on the road to Northwestern on Saturday and had little trouble beating a suddenly very competitve team in Evanston 72-59, but if all you saw from the game was the sequence from the tweet below, you would have thought it was a much more competitive game.

It's hard to imagine 30 seconds of basketball in which only two points are scored being more enjoyable than this.

In case you weren't counting, the teams went end-to-end five times there with five missed shots, three blocks, a steal and Northwestern guard Bryant McIntosh seemingly scoring on accident on what appeared to be a lob toward the rim for a teammate.

Maryland jumped to a 20-point lead in the first half and staved off the Huskies in the second half to improve to 13-1 and 2-0 in the Big Ten. Northwestern is now 13-2 and 1-1 in conference play and it wouldn't be a surprise this season to see the Wildcats beat some longtime rivals who have beat up on them over the years.
