Just in time for White House visit, Louisville gets its national championship rings

On the eve of Tuesday's trip to Washington D.C. to visit with President Obama, Louisville players each received the perfect accessory to wear to the White House.

Jewel-encrusted championship rings.

Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein tweeted photos Monday morning of the rings, each of which feature a Cardinals logo inlaid in a panel of stones on the front and bracketed by the words "National Champions."

On one side panel is the recipient's name along with a Big East logo and the year. On the other side panel is a national championship logo below the word "Louisville" and above the team's 35-5 record.

Louisville players will meet the president at a ceremony on Tuesday at 2 p.m. EST. They'll then tour the Capitol building as guests of Senator Mitch McConnell.
