Did Kentucky's Alex Poythress get injured during the postgame celebration?

Kentucky’s Aaron Harrison exhibited some more late-game heroics when he hit a game-winning 3-point shot deep from the left wing in the closing seconds to knock off Wisconsin 74-73 and lock up a spot in Monday night’s national title game against UConn.

After Wisconsin’s last-second shot clanked off the rim to clinch Kentucky’s win, the team celebrated accordingly with a dog pile. Wildcats sophomore forward Alex Poythress, who was huge off the bench with eight points and seven rebounds in 29 minutes, was at the bottom of the pile and appeared to get his left leg stuck underneath the weight of his teammates.

Poythress walked off the court with a limp and was seen with ice on his knee in the locker room after the game.

In the postgame news conference, however, Poythress downplayed the incident and said that he will be fine for Monday’s title game.

Despite what Poythress said, his status will be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
