Report: Peyton Manning played with torn right quadriceps

Maybe there’s another reason Peyton Manning’s losing feeling in his toes.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Broncos quarterback has played with a torn right quadriceps for the last month, including yesterday’s loss.

Manning has had the vaguely noted “thigh” injury mentioned on recent injury reports, since suffering the initial injury in mid-December against the Chargers.

He ducked into the locker room before halftime that day, but continued to play.

While most of the speculation has been about his neck and his arm, it might be the lower extremity that was most to blame for looking like something other than himself.
