Premier League: Luis Suárez sinks goal of the year for Liverpool

Luis Suárez absolutely loves to score against Norwich City. It took just 35 minutes for the Uruguayan forward to notch a hat-trick against the Canaries, putting his side up 3-0 and leaving the visitors looking utterly dejected. That’s Suárez’s third hat trick against Norwich in the last three seasons, by the way. Who needs Daniel Sturridge, anyway?

The first goal from Suárez was absolutely superb. Steven Gerrard headed the ball on from the halfway line and, despite a Norwich player getting a toe to the ball, Suárez was able to pounce. He shrugged off another Norwich defender and sent in his shot from distance, a tremendously powerful strike that looped high through the air to nestle into the far corner and drop down behind John Ruddy.

But they can’t all be jaw-dropping, as Suárez demonstrated with his second. From a corner, the cross came in from Philippe Coutinho. Suárez, lurking nearby, needed barely more than a nudge to give his side their second.

Suárez made up for the lack of a spectacle on his second goal with another jaw-dropping strike on his third. This time, he grabbed the ball from Raheem Sterling, gave it a little bounce on his thigh to put it over the head of a Norwich defender, then sent in a screamer from about 25 yards out. The Uruguayan is absolutely unstoppable today.

Considering the fact that Norwich looked deflated already after the first goal, is there any way back for the Canaries at Anfield?
