Mad Dash: The Minnesota Vikings have a donut club

It's not easy to be the player on the team nursing an injury during the course of the season, and some guys in the NFL end up spending more time in the training room than the locker room. So that's why the Minnesota Vikings started a tradition that was brought to our attention by Sports Illustrated. Since 2008, the Vikings' head trainer brings in donuts once a week for a donut club. That's right, the same thing that keeps people chatting after church on Sunday is helping build camaraderie between injured and healthy players in the Minnesota locker room every week. The players always pay for the donuts, and Jared Allen remains the only player ever allowed to be late to the festivities. It sounds awesome (and delicious) and we're starting to wonder why we haven't started a donut club of our own.

Nine-year-old Oscar Wood stole internet hearts with his Joey Bautista impersonation and drawn-on beard, especially when it accompanied a sudden playoffs home run by the bigger Bautista. Well, you'll be happy to know that the two Bautistas finally got a chance to hang out before Game 4 of the ALCS. The Blue Jays are probably wishing they actually ahd two Bautistas now that they're down 3-1 to Kansas City in the ALCS.

One of the best parts of going to college is the chance to interact and have fun with the athletes leading the school's biggest sports teams, and with that in mind, a couple of Ohio State students decided to pull a jump pass on J.T. Barrett on campus. And though he seemed to ignore it completely, Barrett tweeted about the walk-by later in the day. Judging by the tweet, it's hard to tell if he was impressed or disturbed.
