Mad Dash: NFL center gave up career to start a farm

Ask enough people in the world what their dream job would be and plenty would say they always wanted to be a professional athlete. But Jason Brown achieved that dream, and then realized that maybe there was something else in life for him bigger than the bright lights of the NFL. The former center walked away from the game to start his own farm, and says he's happier now. The full story is pretty amazing.

There are a lot of ways to pass time on a long flight, and accepting a few harmless dares from friends is certainly one way to go. MLB reliever Hector Santiago did that on a flight with the league's all-star team playing its series against Japan's best over the past couple of weeks. Santiago was dared to kiss manager Terry Francona on his bald head, and he did just that. Francona's reaction was priceless.

Also priceless (at least on the surface): Being kept from team practice because a cat is hanging out next to your car. Mikael Forssell of Germany's VFL Bochum is deathly allergic to felines, and because of that, refused to go anywhere near his car, even to shoo this cat away. Eventually it left, and he left for practice. But it was a bizarre situation to say the least.
