Mad Dash: Brett Favre has new business for Super Bowl Sunday

Brett Favre is doing a good job of keeping busy in retirement. From coaching high school football to selling copper-infused athletic gear, there isn't really a shortage of things on his plate. But when we noticed @FavreandCarve followed NBC Sports on Twitter, we were intrigued. A little investigating led us to a website promoting Favre's alleged new venture in the charcuterie business. Some more clicking and we quickly realized it's all part of a stunt with Wix.com for the upcoming Super Bowl. Very clever, but we're still a little disappointed there won't be a line of craft meats curated by Brett Favre.

A big sports game without town declarations or bets between mayors would be weird anymore. So it's no surprise that Milwaukee and Bainbridge Island – two municipalities connected to the Packers and Seahawks, but not actually home base for either – are raising the stakes ahead of the NFC championship. A Milwaukee radio station is banning all songs by Seattle bands, and Bainbridge Island is banning cheese until after the game on Sunday. Both are entirely unnecessary and kind of silly, but hey, anything for the (sort of) hometown team, right?
