Jets could become serious threat in AFC playoff race

New York's defense may not be as upgraded, but the offense will pick them up

The New York Jets have made serious strides in improving their team this offseason, giving fans a legitimate reason to be excited for the upcoming season.

With Michael Vick, Chris Johnson, and Eric Decker in the fold and the Jets’ perceived interest in selecting an offensive playmaker in the upcoming draft, Mike Florio could envision a scenario where the Jets are a serious threat in the AFC East and claim, at the very least, a wild card spot.

The defense may still have question marks – specifically at cornerback – but Florio isn’t worried. “You make the offense better,” Florio says. “The defense will hold its side of the bargain. This team will be better than 8-8.”
