What happens next with Redskins’ Mike Shanahan?

Remember all the way back to Saturday night before the Redskins played the Kansas City Chiefs? The debate at that point was if Washington owner Dan Snyder should keep coach Mike Shanahan, or even if Shanahan should get an extension. What a difference a few days can make.

Now some would say Shanahan wants out, or at least that he wanted out. The ESPN bombshell that broke Sunday prior to the Chiefs blowout reported Shanahan wanted to step down as coach before the Skins played Seattle in last year's playoffs. Shanahan has not denied that report, just refused comment.

In Monday's press conference, Shanahan at first did not answer if he wanted to return for next season. Later he said that he wants to be back, and he loves the Redskins players.
