Darrelle Revis on Megatron: He's like the ultimate video-game creation

Darrelle Revis explained on Wednesday afternoon that there likely isn't a more physically skilled receiver in the NFL than Detroit's Calvin Johnson.

"He's Megatron," Revis said. "That's what makes him different. He's a man amongst boys out there. You see it all the time. Dude is 6-[foot]-6, 230 pounds and he runs a 4.3 [40-yard dash]. That's pretty freakish to have. It's like the ultimate receiver that you want.

"You can create him on a video game, that's basically what he is. Lot of respect for him, and I do feel like our defense has a lot of respect for him. He has a lot of respect around the league as well."

Revis has had success in limiting Johnson in the past, but he knows that if he sees Detroit's No. 1 receiver in coverage on Sunday at Gillette Stadium, he'll have his hands full.

"You see it on film all the time," Revis said. "Two or three defenders around him and Stafford will still throw the ball up. And he comes down with it sometimes. We're well aware of that. We just gotta keep on game planning. We're looking forward to the matchups out there."

The Patriots defense has the benefit against practicing against a pretty freakish athlete every week in Rob Gronkowski, but Revis said there's no way to simulate what Johnson does.

"Two different players," Revis said. "They're definitely two diff players. Calvin is pretty fast and can run, but size-wise they're similar. I don't know the exact Calvin's size, but he's 6-6, I don't know, he's huge. He's like an NBA player out there playing."
