Da’Shawn Hand visits Alabama, and it sure seems swell, particularly the food

Throughout the year we've been keeping very close tabs on Da'Shawn Hand, Rivals.com's top overall football recruit, with the help of The Washington Post's First and 17 series. He's an immense talent, and has insisted that he was still deciding on where he would compete on the collegiate level. He has said repeatedly that he would matriculate to either Alabama, Michigan or Florida.

Last weekend Hand traveled to Tuscaloosa to make an official visit to the University of Alabama. He's still two weeks away from making his planned announcement, but it sure sounds like Alabama made a lasting impact. It's food certainly did, as the senior told Rivals.com's Adam Friedman. Just check out how quickly the defensive end/linebacker recruit brought it up.

"I got down here on Saturday and ate breakfast," said the 6-foot-4, 248-pound Hand. "After we ate breakfast we went to the game. The game was amazing and of course they won. After that I ate a lot. The food was crazy good."

That's three food references in the first five sentences. Perhaps Michigan and Florida should look into private chefs?
