Kevin Kisner vetoes caddie's advice because he's 'in last place anyway'

Kevin Kisner had bogeyed four of his last five holes to turn a 2-under-par start on Saturday at the Masters into a 2-over march backward on moving day.

Maybe it won't come as a surprise, then, that Kisner wasn't really in the mood to listen to advice from caddie Duane Bock on the tee at the par-3 12th. Bock was trying to help Kisner, who grew up in nearby Aiken, S.C., some thoughts on how to handle the tricky, swirling wind on the hole, particularly as a large gust of wind came up on the tee.

That's when Kisner called Bock off, saying, "Well, I'm in last place, so it doesn't really matter."

To his credit, Kisner went on to make par on the 12th, a great score in the windy Saturday conditions.

Kisner shot 4-over 76 and is tied for 49th place among the 57-player field. To give you an indication of how much Kisner didn't enjoy his round, he said afterward, "I never been as ready to be done as I am right now and I'm glad I can't make any more bogeys."
