It has, in her words, been a "whirlwind" 24 hours for Kim Zolciak-Biermann, who says she suffered a mini-stroke immediately following a live taping of Dancing With the Stars.

In a post on Instagram, Zolciak wrote that she'd taken a flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta after Wednesday night's episode of DWTS and, when she arrived home, the left side of her body went numb and she lost the ability to speak.

"The last 24 hours have been whirlwind!" Zolciak wrote. "I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS) I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke) the left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone. Extremely grateful for @sladeosborne @briellebiermann @nikitpressley @kroybiermann for quick reactions! I have 100%of my feeling back THANK GOD. Still in the hospital but I just know I'm getting released today!"

A TIA is a transient ischemic attack and is considered a warning sign that a more serious stroke is coming. Yahoo has reached out to Zolciak's representative and will update when we hear back.
