YAIAA coaches announce field hockey all-stars, players of the year in each division
Players from division champions Red Lion, Susquehannock, Littlestown and Biglerville (Division III had co-champs) feature heavily on the YAIAA all-star teams.
The teams, players and coaches of the year, were recently announced by league coaches.
In Division I, champion Red Lion and runner-up New Oxford shared Player of the Year honors with Kaelyn Eaches and Kelbie Linebaugh, respectively. Eaches, a junior forward, scored 28 goals and had 6 assists for the Lions. Linebaugh, a senior who played forward and midfield, had more than a dozen goals for the Colonials.
In Division II, Susquehannock's Lilly Wojcik and York Suburban's Grace Bramble share Player of the Year honors. Wojcik, earning her third straight POY honors as a senior forward, led the league with more than 50 goals for the division champion Warriors. Bramble, a junior, allowed two dozen goals and recorded more than 150 saves in goal.
In Division III, Littlestown senior Kelsy McClintock scored nearly three dozen goals for the co-champion Bolts to earn Player of the Year honors.
