How successful is a Money in the Bank winner at cashing in?
Winning the Money in the Bank match has often led to becoming WWE or World Champion, ever since the shocking first cash-in when Edge cashed in on a bloody John Cena at New Year's Revolution in 2006 for the WWE Championship.
Men's winners have been quite successful, with 17 of 23 (74%) winners claiming the title they cash in on. There have been four unsuccessful tries since Damien Sandow in 2013, and two winners − Mr. Kennedy and Otis − lost the briefcase after they were challenged for it.
On the other side, it's been nothing but wins for Ms. Money in the Bank; all six winners have been successful in becoming a women's champion. Asuka was given the title in 2020 after Becky Lynch relinquished the belt to Asuka after revealing she was pregnant.
In total, Money in the Bank winners have a 79% success rate.
