Wisconsin's Ball leaves game with head injury

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball sustained a head injury after taking a hard hit on a touchdown run in the second quarter against UTEP.

The team tweeted that Ball will not return. Wisconsin led 23-9 at the half. Ball's touchdown gave the Badgers a 9-6 lead with 14:50 left in the second quarter.

The Heisman hopeful has scored just three touchdowns this season and lost a fumble for the first time in his collegiate career earlier in the half. He has 655 carries.

Ball sustained a concussion this summer when he was attacked by three men near the school's campus.
