CHARLES MCDONALD: Do the Packers have another franchise quarterback?

FRANK SCHWAB: I think so. Honestly, and maybe not, he ain't gonna a Hall of Famer. I don't think. I think the Packers are good. Not just like, they could be feisty. No, I think the Packers could win that division. I think they could easily make the playoffs if the Lions are great as a wild card. And it's because they don't need Jordan Love to be a top five quarterback.

Why do we not think that he could be a top 15 quarterback? Everybody gave up on him for, what, 83 passes or whatever he's throwing? I don't get why everybody's bailed on him. But yet, Brock Purdy is the next Joe Montana, right, after five games. Jordan Love came in with the same scouting report. He's a flawed player with a huge upside. Why can't he still hit that upside?

In this preseason, he's shown so many strides. He looks more confident. If Jordan Love's a 15th best quarterback, they have two really good running backs, a really interesting receiver room, I like Jayden Reed a lot. Their defense we all loved a year ago. They were disappointing last year, but the talent is still there. I think LaFleur is underrated as a coach.

I think the Packers are going to be really good. And because Jordan Love looks like, again, maybe he's not going to be top five quarterback or anything this year. But he looks more than competent to me. I assume you see the same things because he just looks so much more improved in the last time we saw him in the preseason.

CHARLES MCDONALD: To me, what this kind of looks like is, OK, you've actually got to work with your coaches, starting quarterback for a whole year. I think what's been interesting about him is he just, like you said, he just looks so much more confident. And you can see--

FRANK SCHWAB: Different. Totally different.

CHARLES MCDONALD: Totally different. And you can see where the physical talent comes into play, especially on that touchdown pass. I was blown away by-- he can spin it, man. And he can run. And I think when you start looking at, OK, well, you still need to temper your expectations because he's a young quarterback.

But what's the infrastructure look like around him? It's not like it's a bare cupboard for him, where your veterans are, really, along the offensive line and running backs. That's kind of where you want to stabilize a young quarterback. So I'm excited for him.
