Where will Teddy Bridgewater play in 2021?

It hasn’t been much of a secret that the Carolina Panthers have been looking for an upgrade at the quarterback position after one year of Teddy Bridgewater in 2020.

In 2020, Bridgewater was fine, throwing for 3,733 yards but just 15 touchdowns to go with 11 interceptions.

If Bridgewater, who is due $17.9 million in 2021, doesn’t play for the Panthers, where could we see him end up?

A few possibilities:

Houston Texans

If the Texans decide to trade Deshaun Watson, who is currently in a bunch of legal trouble, the Panthers seem like an obvious choice. And while the Texans go from Watson to whatever their next plan at the position is, Bridgewater would be a good filler at the position for Houston.

Washington Football Team

Washington won the NFC East last season without a real solid option at quarterback. Bridgwater isn’t great, but he’d be an upgrade over Alex Smith, Dwayne Haskins or Kyle Allen.

Chicago Bears

The Bears are planning on starting Andy Dalton at quarterback going into the 2021 season. That’s probably all we need to say about that.
