Where Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Jackson State finished in Directors' Cup

With LSU baseball's win in the College World Series, the 2022-2023 college athletics season has come to an end, meaning the standings for the Directors' Cup are complete. Among the schools in the Magnolia State, Ole Miss finished on top at No. 39.

The Rebels totaled 593.75 points − 101 from the fall, 275.25 from the winter and 217.5 from the spring. The rifle team paced Ole Miss with 80 points from a fourth-place finish. The men's and women's indoor track and field teams each contributed more than 60 points.

The women's basketball team, with it first Sweet 16 bid since 2007, earned 64 points. Ole Miss football, men's basketball and baseball scored no points.

The scoring system takes into account 19 sports, four of which must be women's volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball and baseball. The next highest (of 15 maximum) scores are taken by school. That gives an institution such as Stanford, which finished first and has 36 varsity programs, an edge over Ole Miss (18) or Mississippi State (16).
