Here’s where the Gators sit in ESPN’s latest bracketology update

Here’s where the Gators sit in ESPN’s latest bracketology update

The clock is ticking for Florida basketball when it comes to building an NCAA Tournament resume as the Gators are currently mired in mediocrity with a 13-11 record overall and a 6-5 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Todd Golden’s team has only managed to win two of their nine Quadrant 1 matchups and just one out of two Quad 2 games; they have, however, gone a perfect 10-0 against Quad 3 and 4 teams.

In ESPN’s most recent bracketology update headed by Joe Lunardi, Florida currently sits in the final spot of the tournament bubble at the bottom of the “Next Four Out” category — the exact same spot The Athletic recently assigned them. Joining the Gators are the Utah State Aggies, Charleston Cougars and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Next up for the Orange and Blue are the Vanderbilt Commodores, who travel to Gainesville to take on the Gators inside the O’Connell Center on Saturday, Feb. 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST and the game can be followed by either watching the SEC Network or listening on the Gator Sports Network.
