Week 10 roundup: Oak Harbor caps unbeaten regular season with NBC championship

Jaqui Hayward rushed for two touchdowns and caught another Friday as unbeaten Oak Harbor shut out Lake 55-0 to earn an outright crown its first season in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

The Rockets scored 27 points in the first quarter and 28 in the second. Hayward ran in from 62 and 18 yards and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Mike LaLonde.

Dalton Witter, Travis Bouyer and Caiden Lippus added touchdowns on the ground. Ethan Stokes had 112 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown on three receptions.

Hayward rushed for 82 yards on three tries and Lippus had 72 yards on six carries. LaLonde completed 4 of 6 passes for 142 yards.

LaLonde returned an interception 68 yards for a score. Lippus had two interceptions and Jake Ridener one.

Lake had 4 yards on 14 carries and 145 yards of offense overall on two more plays, 49-47.

Oak Harbor rushed for 278 yards on 38 tries, with 447 yards overall, 9.5 per play. It punted one time.

The Rockets clinched a top-four seed in Division V Region 18.

Clyde 45, Norwalk 14

Clark Norman rushed for two touchdowns as Clyde snapped a four-game losing skid with a victory in the Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division.

The Fliers scored 38 straight points after Norwalk matched Chancy Miracle's touchdown run. Adam Young and Jayvin Sheffield added scores on the ground.

Ben Wott caught a 67-yard touchdown pass from Jon Lantz, who completed 5 of 7 passes for 102 yards. Drake Guhn completed each of three passes for 45 yards.

Norman had 58 yards on nine tries, Young 73 on seven and Miracle 45 on four. Kam Shortridge had 40 yards on two catches.

Tyler Soper booted a 36-yard field goal to cap the scoring run late in the third quarter.

Clyde (5-5, 1-3) had 237 yards on 42 rushes.

Norwalk misfired on 17 on 27 passes for 158 yards. Sheffield intercepted a pass.

The Fliers clinched a road game in Division III Region 10.

Haydn Sartor blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown for Bellevue in the SBC Bay Division.

Dylan Barger and Cooper Moyer caught touchdown passes from Ashton Martin for Bellevue (5-5, 2-2).

Ethan Smith and Moyer each intercepted a pass.

Bellevue clinched a home game in Division IV Region 14.

Margaretta 55, Willard 22

Margaretta (6-4, 5-2) clinched a road game in Division VI Region 22 with the SBC River Division victory.

Lakota 36, Woodmore 0

Lakota (5-5, 3-3) clinched a road playoff spot in Division VI Region 22 with the SBC River Division victory.

Sandusky 37, Port Clinton 14

Romney Turner caught a touchdown from Gabe Koskela and Dagan Meyers rushed for a score for Port Clinton (3-7) in the SBC crossover.

Port Clinton was eliminated from the postseason.

Eastwood 36, Genoa 29

Genoa led 29-28 after Aiden Brunkhorst ran in from 22 yards and Aidan Antry converted on the ground in a matchup for second in the NBC.

The Comets led 13-7 before Eastwood scored the next 21 points. Antry had 259 yards and one touchdown, plus 32 yards on two catches.

Brunkhorst completed 8 of 15 passes for 138 yards with one interception. Alex Spencer caught a 57-yard touchdown pass.

Genoa (7-3, 5-2) had 332 yards on 54 carries and 470 yards overall. The teams combined for three punts, two for Genoa to offset a 10-9 advantage in possessions and each team was 6 for 9 on third down.

Eastwood rushed for 297 yards on 41 tries and had 448 yards overall. Caiden Maize had 175 yards and two scores on 25 carries.

Genoa's Caleb Gittus forced and recovered a fumble and Spencer added an interception.

The Comets clinched a road playoff game in Division V Region 18.
