Getting “the call” after being selected in the NFL draft is an incredible moment for college football’s best every April. It was well worth the wait for Wisconsin cornerback Faion Hicks and his family.

Hicks was selected No. 232 overall in the seventh round of the draft, and the Broncos staff could barely get a word across once they broke the news. His family went absolutely crazy, as they should, once the news of his selection became official. While a number of teams passed on Hicks, the Broncos saw his impressive body of work at Wisconsin and took a chance on the Badger corner.
