Watch: Rams rookies Stetson Bennett and Puka Nacua connect for 1st TD of preseason
Stetson Bennett got off to a shaky start in his preseason debut, throwing a pair of near-picks on his opening drive. But he settled in and made the Chargers pay for a costly unsportsmanlike conduct penalty by turning it into six points.
Bennett connected with fellow rookie Puka Nacua for the Rams’ first touchdown of the preseason, an 11-yard strike to the goal line. It was close, but the booth confirmed it was a touchdown, getting the Rams on the board for the first time.
Even more impressively, it came on third-and-long, a great play by the pair of rookies on offense.
