WATCH: Is Jaylen Brown emerging as one of the NBA’s elite scorers?

Has Boston Celtics star shooting guard Jaylen Brown elevated his game to have become one of the NBA’s elite scorers?

After Wednesday night’s career-high 42-point offensive eruption by the Cal-Berkeley product, it would be hard to suggest he is not at least in the conversation — and he has a former Celtic champion who believes Brown has indeed made that leap to become one of the league’s most lethal scorers. That would of course be ex-Boston big man Kendrick Perkins, who shared his thoughts on where the Georgia native now sits among his NBA brethren in terms of scoring prowess on a recent episode of ESPN’s “The Jump”.

Averaging the most points of his career to date at 28 per game, Brown is currently tied with Portland Trail Blazers wing CJ McCollum for the fourth-most points per game in the league while shooting 56.3% overall and 44% from beyond the arc.

Check out the cases made for and against the former Golden Bear as a premier scoring talent in the league made by the crew of the Jump for yourself in the video embedded above.

You can probably guess where we stand on the issue.
