WATCH: Every reception by Raiders TE Darren Waller in Week 2

If you didn’t get to see Darren Waller’s performance on Monday Night Football, you missed a historic game by one of the league’s best tight ends. Waller caught an incredible 12 passes for 103 yards and a score as he helped the team upset a Super Bowl-hopeful in the New Orleans Saints.

If you were able to watch that game, you know that it might have been Waller’s best game of his career. To relive that night, the Raiders tweeted out a video of every reception from Waller in that contest. Take a look below on what Waller did to the Saints in Week 2:

After the game, head coach Jon Gruden said that he would take Waller over any tight end in the NFL and that includes Travis Kelce and George Kittle. While that is certainly high praise, it’s not completely outlandish, either.

Waller is a perfect fit in the Raiders’ offense given his abilities to get open and make plays after the catch. As you can see from above, there were numerous plays on Monday night where Waller caught the ball short of the line to gain and was able to make a defender miss in order to pick up the first down. That is a rare trait that not many tight ends have in their toolbox.

The Raiders will need Waller to continue to shine in Week 3 if they want to pull off another upset against the Patriots in Foxboro. Look for the former Georgia Tech star to see double-digit targets once again as he is clearly their best weapon on offense.
