WATCH: Chiefs WR Justyn Ross breaks tackle after making his first catch

Justyn Ross season has officially begun for the Kansas City Chiefs after he made his first preseason catch against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He grabbed a quick pass from Shane Buechele on Kansas City’s opening drive in the third quarter and broke a tackle before he was corralled after a short sideline scamper.

Ross’ highly anticipated debut was a bit underwhelming before this catch, but with plenty of game left to play, fans should expect that the second-year receiver will be more involved later in the matchup.

The hype behind the promising pass catcher reached a fever pitch in training camp, where he seemed to make highlight reel plays in nearly every practice session he participated in. Ross missed his entire rookie season after recovering from an injury he sustained as a collegian at Clemson, so this play is a good indication that he is back to full health.
