Washington, Lennox enter top 5: See the rest of the in the South Dakota HS football media poll

Washington and Lennox have officially joined the top five teams in their respective classes in the South Dakota high school football media polls.

In Class 11AAA, The Warriors are off to a 1-1 start after defeating Rapid City Stevens in their opening game and held a 17-0 lead over No. 2 Jefferson last week before the Cavaliers' fourth-quarter comeback. Lennox has started their season 2-0 in Class 11A, defeating Vermillion and Chamberlain.

The South Dakota Prep Media football polls for the week of Sept. 5 are listed below, ranking the top five teams in each class, record, total points and the team's previous ranking.

First-place votes received are indicated in parentheses.
