The Warriors survive messy, thrilling battle with Kings to even the series I The Rush

Game 4 between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors had some of everything, including yet another Draymond Green technical foul and a point guard duel between De’Aaron Fox and Steph Curry. Golden State squeaked out a victory despite a late Curry blunder to even the series 2-2. The hype is growing for Game 4 of the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies series after news came down that Dillon Brooks would not be suspended for smacking LeBron James below the belt in Game 3. Brooks also broke his short-lived silence, speaking with the media about the genesis of his reputation as a villain.

- Mitchell on Curry. Slammed on the brakes. Oh my goodness! Curry.

JARED QUAY: Facing a 2-1 series deficit, the Golden State Warriors desperately needed a win in game 4 against the Kings in San Francisco. And this game had everything, like a Draymond Green technical foul in his first minute on the court and a point guard duel between De'Aaron Fox, who dropped 38, and Steph Curry, who dropped 32.

- Green back to Curry, got his feet set. The jumper is [INAUDIBLE].

JARED QUAY: But in the end, with under a minute to play, the Warriors led by 5 points when Steph Curry called a timeout that Golden State didn't have.

- Technical foul!

JARED QUAY: It sure was! And then De'Aaron Fox hit a 3 to put the Kings within 1 point. And then they played for the final shot.

- Fox over to Barnes for the lead. And that's it! The Warriors survive.

JARED QUAY: Golden State hung on for the 126-125 win to tie the series at two games apiece. Basketball gods, please bless us with a seven game series.

- Pretty please.

JARED QUAY: While the battle for NorCal rages on, there's a different kind of battle being waged in SoCal. It's Dillon Brooks versus the world. And life can come at you fast. Just ask Dillon Brooks.

- No, thank you, sir. I'll pass.

JARED QUAY: The Grizzlies forward got a break from the league by not being suspended for game four of the Lakers series after smacking LeBron in the family jewels in game three.

[BOING]

The below the belt jab resulted in Brooks being ejected from the game and dejected to the point where he refused to talk to the media post-game.

JARED QUAY: I mean, I wouldn't feel like talking either after only scoring 7 points and getting absolutely roasted via chyron during the Lakers' local broadcast, where they compared Brooks resume to LeBron's.

- Humiliating.

JARED QUAY: But Brooks did speak to the press on Sunday, stating that the media is making him a villain. What in the Draymond Green is this man playing at? I'd argue that leading the league in technicals, being suspended and fined, trash talking the greatest basketball player to ever live, and offensive fashion choices are turning you into a villain, my guy. I'm just thrilled that Dillon Brooks will play in game 4 because assuming he doesn't get tossed, the game is going to be lit because let's take it, all right?

Let's be honest. LeBron is not taking this lightly. LeBron is turning into 27-year-old LeBron on Dillon Brooks. In fact, the fact that they won one game is impressive. But I would argue that the Lakers are probably going to win the series the next two games, and it'll be over real fast.
