Warriors rising star to make debut at The Crawsover

The Crawsover Pro-Am is a highlight of the offseason, blending talented individuals alongside genuine NBA stars. This year, it appears Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga will make his debut at the offseason event, as reported by Jamal Crawford.

Kuminga is expecting to have a larger role within the Warriors’ rotation this season, and he could begin to flash his offseason improvements during the popular Pro-Am run. Recently, Kuminga shared his expectations for the upcoming season, noting how this is “definitely the year.”

“This upcoming season is definitely the year,” Kuminga told ESPN during an interview at ‘Basketball without Borders.’ “A lot of people are expecting so much from me – and myself; I’m expecting a lot. It’s a lot of pressure, but I don’t really pay attention to the noise. The pressure is always going to be there. It’s just (on) me to go out there and perform.”

Kuminga was drafted with the seventh pick in the 2021 NBA draft and has slowly been earning the trust of the coaching staff and his teammates. This past season, Kuminga participated in 67 regular-season games in which he shot 37% from 3-point range and 52.5% from the field overall.

Given his improvements since entering the NBA and the work Kuminga has put in since last season came to a close, it’s safe to assume Kuminga could be looking to put on a show when he makes his appearance at The Crawsover.
