Warriors recall James Wiseman from G League Santa Cruz

Before heading to Utah for a matchup with the Jazz, the Golden State Warriors will be getting some reinforcements from the G League.

After seven games with G League Santa Cruz, former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman has been recalled to the NBA by the Warriors on Tuesday. Wiseman will join the team before their quick road trip to Utah.

During his stint with Santa Cruz, Wiseman averaged 15.6 points on 62.2% shooting from the field with 10.1 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game.

Prior to joining the Warriors, Wiseman is coming off two games in Santa Cruz with back-to-back double-double performances in the boxscore.

Wiseman could step in and contribute right away for the Warriors in Utah. Golden State has already ruled out Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green for Wednesday’s contest against the Jazz.

The Warriors are slated to meet the Jazz in Utah on Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.
