Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern's season comes to an end with a 14-4 loss to Madison.

CANOVA — Madison clinched a berth in the South Dakota High School Baseball Association's state Class B tournament with wins over Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern and Howard on Wednesday.

Fourth-seeded Madison (11-6) opened with a 14-4 win over fifth-seeded W-I-N and then knocked off No. 1 seed Howard 10-2 in the championship of the bracket. Redfield Area won the other bracket in games on Sunday.

Braxton Bjorklund, Mason Kennington and Jordan Pederson each had three hits for Madison Ben Brooks fanned nine batters to get the win in the five-inning game.

Ashton Remily doubled and Noah, Devon and Quinton Fischbach, Xavier Kadlec and Andrew Bishop each singled for W-I-N (4-6). Remily started and took the loss.

Aberdeen 16, Lake Norden 2

LAKE NORDEN — Casey Vining drove in six runs with a homer and three singles to lead the Aberdeen Smittys to the win on Tuesday night.

Carter Eisenbeisz had three hits, including two doubles, and Andrew Woehl two. Woehl, Zane Backous and Gavyn Jargoske each also doubled. Jaiden Smith drove in three runs.

Cristhian Rodriguez, Dawson Noem and Ryker Warrington each singled for Lake Norden.
