Congratulations to Plymouth Salem's Madison Morson, this week's Free Press Prep Athlete of the Week.

During the 2023-24 MHSAA season, our staff of reporters are scouring the state for the top performances each week, and every week we'll provide you five players for you to vote on.

By Saturday morning, we'll publish the player you voted on to be the new Prep Athlete of the Week.

RANK 'EM: Michigan high school boys and girls basketball state rankings, Feb. 25

Here are the nominees:

Durral Brooks, Grand Rapids Catholic Central: The senior scored 35 points as Catholic Central beat Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 77-58.

Peter Kardasis, Rochester Adams: The senior scored a school record 47 points as Adams defeated Detroit University Prep Science & Math, 79-66.

Madison Morson, Plymouth Salem: The senior scored a school record 44 points, hitting 16 of 20 shots, in Salem’s 56-36 victory over Farmington Hills Mercy.

Jonathan Sanderson, Saline: The sophomore scored 44 points and led Saline to a 69-60 victory over Ann Arbor Huron.

Elijah Williams, Birmingham Brother Rice: The sophomore scored 35 points as Brother Rice knocked off Detroit Renaissance, 83-71, in the consolation game of the Operation Friendship game.
