Vote for the SouthCoast High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 7-16
The 2023-24 winter season is in full swing for SouthCoast's nine schools — Apponequet, Bishop Stang, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, GNB Voc-Tech, New Bedford, Old Colony, Old Rochester and Wareham — and there have already been some strong performances from local girls basketball players.
Here’s your chance to vote for the top girls basketball player from Dec. 7-16.

SEASON PREVIEW: Meet the top 24 H.S. girls basketball players from the SouthCoast to watch in 2023-24
Addison Taylor, Apponequet
In three games, Taylor had a combined 55 points, including a game-high 23 against Dartmouth.
Hannah Kuriscak, Apponequet
In a win over Middleboro, Kuriscak had a career-high 29 points and set a single-game school record with nine 3-pointers.
Kat Cheesebro, Dartmouth
Cheesebro had a combined 66 points and 29 rebounds in three wins for Dartmouth.
Kaelyn Zuber, Dartmouth
In wins over Apponequet and GNB Voc-Tech, Zuber had a combined 28 points. She also had 10 rebounds against the Lakers and five steals against the Bears.
Jai-Ana Silva, GNB Voc-Tech
In three games, Silva had a combined 50 points, including a game-high 24 against Dartmouth.
Zaria Anderson, New Bedford
In a pair of games, Anderson had a combined 43 points, connecting on nine 3-pointers.
Lexi Thompson, New Bedford
In a loss to Old Rochester, Thompson had a team-high 19 points. She also scored 17 against Barnstable.
Emma Johnson, Old Rochester
Johnson led ORR in scoring in a pair of games with 14 points against New Bedford and 11 against Dartmouth.
Jordyn Elwood, Wareham
Elwood had a combined 49 points in three games. She also dished out 11 assists against Rising Tide.
Johnny Tompkins, Wareham
Tompkins had a combined 39 points in three wins for the Vikings.
