Vote for the SouthCoast High School Boys Athlete of the Week for Jan. 8-14

The winner for last week’s Boys Athlete of the Week poll was Old Rochester’s Caleb Bousquet. Bousquet received more than 75% of the vote to earn the honor.

In a win over Mashpee/Monomoy, Bousquet had one goal and three assists.

The previous winner was Apponequet’s Ryan Vincent.

Here’s your chance to vote for the top boys athlete from Jan. 8-14.

BOYS HOCKEY

Aidan Cousineau, Bishop Stang

Cousineau scored Stang’s lone goal against Dartmouth.

Charlie Camisa, Dartmouth

Camisa scored a pair of goals as Dartmouth beat Bishop Stang.

Ashton Machado, Dartmouth

Machado recorded 19 saves in Dartmouth’s win over Bishop Stang.

Reilly Daviski, GNB Voc-Tech

Daviski scored his first varsity goal and added three assists as the Bears beat East Boston for their first win.

Noah Tavares, GNB Voc-Tech

Tavares scored a pair of goals against East Boston to lead the Bears to their first win of the season. Tavares also scored against Tri-County.

Caleb Bousquet, ORR/Fairhavne

Bousquet scored the game-winner in overtime to lift the Bulldogs past Mashpee/Monomoy 1-0.

BOYS TRACK

Judson Cardinali, Apponequet

Cardinali won the high jump and took third in the 55 hurdles to lead Apponequet against Somerset Berkley.

Bobby Rooney, Bishop Stang

Rooney came in first in the high jump and long jump to power the Spartans to a win over Wareham.

Michael Veegh, Bishop Stang

Veegh won the 300 and 600 as Stang beat Wareham.

Jarred Quann, GNB Voc-Tech

Quann took fourth in the 55 at the East Coast Invitational.

Owen Viera, GNB Voc-Tech

Viera came in third in the 55 hurdles at the East Coast Invitational.

Daniel Ward, GNB Voc-Tech

Ward took second in the 400 at the East Coast Invitational.

Aidan Robert, Wareham

Robert was Wareham’s lone win against Stang, placing first in the 55 hurdles.

BOYS SWIMMING

David Jope, Apponequet

Jope won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke in Apponequet’s win over Brockton.

Hunter Owen, Apponequet

In a win over Brockton, Owen came in first in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

Alex Conde, New Bedford

Conde took first in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly against Bridgewater-Raynham. Conde also won the 100 butterfly against ORR.

Raphael Conde, New Bedford

Conde won the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke as the Whalers beat the Trojans. Conde took first in the 100 backstroke against ORR.

Owen Jupin, New Bedford

Jupin captured first in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle against B-R. Jupin won the 100 freestyle against ORR.

Jaymison Gunschel, Old Rochester

In addition to finishing first in the 500 freestyle, Gunschel was a part of all three winning relays as Old Rochester beat Seekonk.

Tate Peterson, Old Rochester

Peterson won the 200 freestyle and 50 freestyle against New Bedford and also came in first in the 200 IM against Seekonk.
