Vote now: State finals-bound Lakeland football boasts 2 players in Tremendous 10 poll

Two Lakeland football players were among the top players for the week as they helped lead the Dreadnaughts back to the Class 4S state championship game. Here is the complete Tremendous 10 list of nominees for this week's poll. Voting is open until noon on Thursday.

1 Lakeland defensive back Carlos Mitchell (football) broke up three passes and had five solo tackles, including one tackle for loss, in Lakeland's 21-20 victory over Gainesville Buchholz. Although he didn't have a catch on offense, he drew a pair of defensive pass interference calls as the Bobcats were concerned with his speed.

2 Winter Haven senior Isaac Celiscar (boys basketball) finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in a victory over Olympia. In two games last week, both wins, he averaged 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals. For the season, he is averaging 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

3 Lakeland Christian junior Alyssa Carroll (girls soccer) scored the only goal in the Vikings' victory over McKeel. She also scored two goals against Mulberry and now has four goals and one assist for the season.

Class 4S state semifinals: How Lakeland hung on to defeat Buchholz in a thriller to return to state title game

4 Lakeland senior Zander Smith (football) passed for 199 yards and one touchdown in the Dreadnaughts' 21-20 victory over Buchholz. For the season, he has completed 134 of 196 passes for 1,877 yards and 22 touchdowns with just four interceptions.

5 Mulberry senior Vic Mayen (boys soccer) scored four goals, incluing both goals in a 2-1 victory over Lake Wales, and added three assists in three matches. For the season, he has eight goals and three assists.

6 Lake Gibson junior Sebastian Esteva Urdaneta (boys soccer) scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Lakeland. For the season, he has six goals and one assist.

7 Frostproof seventh-grader Helena Rodriguez (girls soccer) scored three goals and had one assist in a victory over Avon Park and finished with week with four goals and two assists. For the season, she has 10 goals and two assists.

8 Winter Haven senior Jordyn Frazier (girls soccer) scored four goals and added two assists as the Blue Devils went 2-1 for the week. For the season, Frazier has seven goals and four assists.

9 Santa Fe Catholic junior Tate Darner (boys basketall) scored 22 points and added four assista and four steals in the Crimson Hawks' victory over Lake Gibson.

10 Bartow senior Daniel Thompson (boys basketball) scored a season-high 28 points in the Yellow Jackets' victory over Lake Region.
