Vote Now: Basketball standout Tate Darner highlights this week's Tremendous 10 Poll

Tate Darner has been a consistent leade for Santa Fe Catholic all season and he leads this week's Tremendous 10 poll filled with basketball and soccer players. In last week's poll, Lakeland Christian's Brayden Gathwright won last week's poll and McKenna Battilla finished second with 32.8 percent. The poll will be opened until noon on Thursday.

1 Santa Fe Catholic junior Tate Darner scored averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in wins over Lakeland Christian and Holy Trinity Episcopal. He had three steals against LCS and two blocked shots against Holy Trinity. For the season, he is averaging 19.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists.

2 Lakeland Chistian’s  junior Avery Cassell (boys soccer) scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-0 victory over winter Haven. For the season, he leads LCS with 10 goals and is second with 22 points.

3 Lake Wales senior Lily Borders (girls soccer) had two goals in a 5-2 win over Bartow and had two assists in a 2-2 tie vs. Santa Fe Catholic. For the season, she has a county-leading 27 goals and now has 89 goals for her career.

4 Jordan Christian Prep sophomore Amelia Williams (girls basketball) scored 18 points and had 11 steals in a victory over McKeel then poured in 24 points with 11 rebounds and seven steals in a win over Lake Region. For the season, she is averaging 18.4 point’s 4.5 rebounds and 5.6 steals.

5 Lake Wales senior Sevastian Rosado (boys basketball) averaged 29.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals in victories over Lake Placid and Fort Meade. For the season, he is averaging 31.0 points to lead the county along with 5.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.9 steals.

6 Mulberry junior Lorianys Castanon Cruz (girls basketball) scored 44 points in an overtime loss to George Jenkins. For the season, sh is averaging 34 points.

7 Victory Christian senior Gabby Figueroa (girls soccer) had three goals and two assist in three matches as the Storm went 2-0-1. For the season, she has 12 goals and eight assists for a team-leading 32 points. She leads her team in goals scored and is second in assists.

8 Jordan Christian Prep senior William Reyes (boys basketball) scored 26 points in an 86-69 victory over Specialty Fit in SIAA play and went over 1,000 career points. For the season, he is averaging 14.4 points to lead the Seahawks.

9 Auburndale sophomore McKenna Battilla (girls soccer) scored four goals and added two assists in an 8-0 victory over Frostproof. For the season, she has 25 goals.

10 Discovery senior Willie Wilson (boys basketball) averaged 20.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games. For the season, he is averaging 14.5 points and 6.0 rebounds.
