Nick Brindisi of Jefferson voted Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week
After four days of voting, Jefferson senior bowler Nick Brindisi was selected as the Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week.
Brindisi rolled the high series (680) and his 257 was the third-best game at the Morris County Tournament on Jan. 25. Brindisi totaled 620 pins in the Falcons' 5-2 loss to Sussex Tech on Jan. 22. He rolled a 598 with a 225 high game as Jefferson beat Lenape Valley, 7-0, on Jan. 24.

Mount Olive senior wrestler
Bienus won the 190-pound Morris County title on Saturday, defeating two-time champion Vincenzo LaValle of Hanover Park.
Taylor Hough
Kittatinny junior point guard
Hough averaged 15 points, 2.3 rebounds, eight steals, 2.7 assists as Kittatinny sandwiched victories against Sussex Tech and in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament versus Hackettstown around a double-overtime loss to Vernon. Against the Vikings, Hough hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to force OT.
Megan Kirwin
Hackettstown senior epee
Kirwin went 2-1 at epee as the Tigers lost to Mendham, 16-11, on Jan. 25.
Ella Kreuzer
Chatham junior guard
Kreuzer averaged 26.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, two assists, and 2.3 steals as Chatham went 3-0, beating Pope John, Summit and New Providence in overtime, all on the road. Kreuzer scored her 1,000th career point on a third-quarter 3-pointer at Summit on Jan. 25. She shot 50% from the field and 57.1% from long range, making 19 of 21 free throws in the three games.
Angelina Qualtieri
Lenape Valley freshman wrestler
Qualtieri won the 100-pound weight class at the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament, pinning the No. 2 seed and also defeating the top seed in the final.
