Vote for Livingston Daily Athlete of the Week (May 6-11, 2024)

Voting is open for Livingston Daily Athlete of the Week until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Vote early, vote often.

Last week’s winner was Brighton track and field senior Nikki Carothers, who backed up her sub-11:00 3,200 meters in Saline with an even faster time to win the KLAA meet Saturday.

While you're here (and thank you for being here), this is where I remind you that you won't find much coverage of Livingston County sports anywhere else, especially once football and basketball end. It costs only $1 for six months of unlimited digital access to all of the Livingston Daily's great high school sports coverage as the biggest events of the spring are taking place.

Landen Bauer, Pinckney baseball

Bauer pitched all nine innings in a 4-3 victory over Tecumseh, allowing six hits and no walks. He struck out six. All three Tecumseh runs were unearned. Bauer threw 103 pitches, 78 for strikes. He has a 2.36 earned run average.

Andrew Everson, Brighton baseball

Everson tossed a two-hitter and faced only two batters over the minimum while pitching Brighton to a 1-0 eight-inning victory over Oxford. Everson is 3-1 with a 0.58 ERA, allowing opponents a .158 batting average. He has 36 strikeouts and only seven walks in 36 innings.
