Happy State Bank Male Athlete of the Week chosen
The Happy State Bank Male Athlete of the Week has been chosen. Time to unveil this week's winner.
Austin Adkins of the Wheeler boys basketball team is this week's winner. He scored 12 points against Paducah with 18 against PCHEA and 14 against Bovina. In the polls, he took home 20,497 votes out of 47,939 cast (42.76%).
Miguel Lopez of Bovina came in second. He had 25 points against McLean, 15 against Groom, 21 against Wheeler and 15 against River Road. He took home 14,631 votes (30.52%).
Gruver's Cade Armes and River Road's Dadrian Wallace each collected over 5,000 votes. Tyi Duque (Hereford), Dalton Booth (Pampa), Gage Lunsford (Canyon), Logan Mason (Wildorado), Logan Becerra (Tulia), and TJ Brown (Amarillo High) were all nominated as well.
