New scorers are emerging for the Gaylord girls after losing Avery Parker for the season, at last week it was sophomore Karlee Pretzlaff taking the reigns of the offense. She had 17 points while shooting 5 of 8 from 3-point range in a loss to Midland while scoring 13 points in a win over Boyne City.

Grady Smith, Gaylord hockey
The Blue Devils hockey team is hoping to get back to their winning ways soon, currently on a three-game skid while only winning one game in the past 11 tries.

Jayden Marlatt, Johannesburg-Lewiston girls basketball
JoBurg continued its four-game winning streak with a 46-22 win over Central Lake on Thursday, Jan. 11 and Jayden Marlatt continues to be the catalyst of the success, leading the team with 17 points, 6 steals and 2 assists.
