Vote on your choice for Athlete of the Week for events ending Sept. 30

The first full month of the fall high school sports season has closed, and again there were significant performances from Section 4 athletes last week. Help us pick Athlete of the Week No. 4 of the fall from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Ithaca Journal and Corning Leader.

Nominees are based on results reported to bgmsports@gannett.com or events covered by sports reporters from the publications.

A winner will be announced Friday. Voting is open until the end of day Wednesday.

Week 1 Athlete of the Week: Corning soccer standout Carter Rosno

Week 2 Athlete of the Week: Watkins Glen soccer player Sasha Honrath

Week 3 Athlete of the Week: Vestal's William Brosius

This week's nominees, based on events of Sept. 25-30:

RaeAnne Feeko, Tioga Central volleyball: Feeko helped the Tigers to a 3-0 week, putting up a combined 40 service points, 42 assists and 30 digs in wins over Watkins Glen, Thomas A. Edison and Whitney Point.

Bradley Gillis, Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour football: Gillis produced 179 yards on the ground with his 14 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 42-7 triumph against Oneonta.

Austyn Nyschot, Maine-Endwell football: He completed three of five passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as the Spartans remained unbeaten with a 41-21 win over Union-Endicott. Nyschot carried six times for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Riley Hubisz, Ithaca boys cross country: He placed fourth in 14 minutes, 58.8 seconds on the 3-mile course at the prestigious McQuaid Invitational in Rochester, leading the Little Red to fourth in the team standings in the Bob Bradley Premier Division.

Makenna Keough, Elmira Notre Dame girls soccer: She notched five goals in the Crusaders' 10-1 victory over Tioga as part of a 2-0 week for END.

Brody Wolfe, Corning football: Wolfe ran the ball 19 times for 201 yards and three touchdowns as Corning topped Binghamton, 36-14, for its first win of the season.
