The Tigers’ hot bats have scored 29 runs in their three GMCT wins and the senior slugger has been a big part of that offensive outburst. He went a combined 5-for-8 with four RBIs, four runs scored and a home run. He is also a top fielder at the hot corner.

One good way to get nominated — throw a no-hitter in a key game. The righthander didn’t allow a hit in the Raiders’ 2-1 upset over Monroe in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament first round. Anderson gave up five walks with six strikeouts as the 11th-seed advanced to the quarterfinals.

The righthander slowed down Spotswood’s hot-hitting offense by firing a one-hitter with three walks and four strikeouts as the No. 13th-seeded Blue Jays scored the upset in the GMCT first round.
BEN LINZER

He got the win with four innings of scoreless relief in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Hunterdon Central in a Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament quarterfinal. He allowed two hits and two walks and struck out two.
JACK MARKOVICH

Shortstop
He hit a leadoff homer, tripled and was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base to spark the Knights’ 7-3 win over Montclair Kimberley in the State Prep B final. The crown was Gill’s first since 2015.

The right-hander earned two wins in the GMCT and also went a combined 4-for-8 with three RBIs and two runs scored. In the 6-4 win over St. Joseph in the first round, Meyer allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings with six strikeouts. In the 10-0 win over Sayreville in the semifinals, he threw the full five innings allowing five hits and striking out seven.

The veteran threw a gem as 11th-seeded Timothy Christian upset sixth-seeded Highland Park in the GMC Invitational first round Thiero allowed one run in 6 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts in the 5-1 win. He also went 2-for-4.

He pitched a complete game, six-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks to lead the No. 13 seed Argonauts to a 9-2 victory over 12-seed Gill St. Bernards in a Somerset County tournament first round game.
DYLAN WAYNE

He went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in the Stateliners’ 10-9 comeback win over Sparta in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament semifinals. He also went 3-for-3 with a run scored in Thursday’s 4-2 win at Delaware Valley that gave Pburg the Skyland Valley Division title.
