B.O.B. stands for the Best Of Battle Creek. Each week throughout the spring, we are going to ask, "Who is the Best Of Battle Creek?" as we look at each position in baseball and softball among the city and area high school teams.
Nominations for each position come from the area baseball and softball coaches with a little information on each player, and then it will be up to the Enquirer readers to decide who is the B.O.B.?

School: Climax-Scotts/St. Philip co-op
Class: Senior
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A three-time All-City selection and all-league pick, Rylee Altman is a four-year starter in centerfield. Her playing experience provides good leadership for a young team and she is an offensive weapon in the No. 2 spot in the lineup, hitting .395 with a .509 on-base percentage.
Brooklyn Berning
School: Lakeview
Class: Sophomore
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A two-year starter at centerfield as a sophomore, Brooklyn Berning has only committed one error over the last two seasons combined. An All-City selection as a freshman, she bats in the No. 2 hole for the Spartans, hitting .388 with 30 runs scored.
Ava Coffinger
School: Gull Lake
Class: Senior
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A speedy outfielder that can get to most balls in the outfield as a returning starter. A key player on the bases with 49 stolen bases, while hitting .564 with 42 runs scored.
Evangelynn Daghuer-Swartz
School: Athens
Class: Senior
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A senior leader in the outfield for Athens as a three-year starter, earning all-conference last season. She is kay part of the lineup, hitting .400.
Braelynn Gimenez
School: Bronson
Class: Sophomore
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: The sophomore centerfielder anchors the Bronson outfield on defense and has become a key contributor in the batting lineup, hitting .312.
Sophia Kline
School: Harper Creek
Class: Sophomore
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A strong throwing arm from her centerfield position, with good speed with 17 stolen bases. A standout presence in the lineup, hitting .594 with seven triples and seven home runs and 28 RBI from the leadoff spot.
Bella Ryan
School: Marshall
Class: Sophomore
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: Having a breakout year as a sophomore and first-year starter, she is among the team leaders with a .521 batting average with 22 RBI and three home runs. A solid corner outfielder with a bright future for the Redhawks.
Alexis Stealy

Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A four-year starter in centerfield, a two-time all-league pick and Enquirer All-Area selection. She shows a great ability to track down balls on defense and is hitting . 333 with four runs at the plate.
Lauren Tundevold

Class: Freshman
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A rising prospect as a freshman starter, Lauren Tundevold has been a key addition for Union City this season as a steady part of the lineup, hitting .317 and has shown a good glove with a .800 fielding percentage.
Calli Wilkinson
School: Union City
Class: Sophomore
Why she is the best outfielder in the Battle Creek area: A second-year starter for Union City, the sophomore is batting .408 with a .778 fielding percentage in the outfield and is a leader for a young Chargers team.
