Patrick Surtain II NFL Draft Prospect Profile
Yahoo Sports’ lead draft analyst Eric Edholm shares his evaluation of the Alabama cornerback.

ERIC EDHOLM: Alabama cornerback, Patrick Surtain II, is the son of the former Pro Bowl cornerback, and he's a pretty good cornerback prospect in his own right. On the upside, even if he had a different last name, it would be easy to see all of Surtain's traits, size, athleticism, man coverage ability, it's all there. He's also got terrific experience at a football factory at Bama that has produced a lot of good NFL defensive backs in recent years.
On the downside, we'd like to see a little more ball production from him. He didn't get his hands on enough passes, and he's occasionally guilty of some downfield contact. Even still, for an NFL comp, we wanted to go with Jalen Ramsey. Couldn't quite do it. So, he reminds us a little bit of the Giants' James Bradberry, a Pro Bowl level cornerback in his own right.
