MINTY BETS: We've got two MLB games to preview for Sunday, August 1. Starting with the Twins and Cardinals. The Cardinals are -140 and the total is 8.5.

Starting from Minnesota is Michael Pineda, he's 4-5 with a 3.86 ERA, 64 strikeouts and 16 walks. On the mound for St. Louis is Adam Wainwright. He's 8-6 with a 3.51 ERA, 119 strikeouts and 34 walks.

I hate to go against a pitcher like Adam Wainwright here, as he allows only an opponent batting average of two away at home and an ERA of 2.7. But I see more value in the Twins today.

Nothing super special about Michael Pineda to believe that he'll shut out St. Louis, but the Cardinals pitching staff allows them most walks in the league at 5.38 per game.

And Minnesota's offense does typically better against righties with a nice OPS of 750. Give me the underdog Minnesota Twins money line. If you guys want in on the action, new users get a risk free bet up to $1,000. Get started at that BetMGM.com/Yahoo.

Next stop, the Rockies and Padres. The Padres are -250 and the total is 8.5. On the mound for Colorado is Austin Gomber. He's 8-5 with a 3.69 ERA, 86 strikeouts and 26 walks.

Starting from San Diego is Chris Paddack. He's 7-6 with a 5.13 ERA, 90 strikeouts and 20 walks. Although Chris Paddack hasn't going up against the Rockies this season yet, Austin Gomber has and he's been lights out in his last three starts against the Padres, allowing only one earned run.

The Rockies our money on the first 5 under the season and this match-up has heavily favored the under. So I will painfully bet, you guessed it, the under, but only in the first five innings.
