Betting: Will Chiefs cover -3.5 vs. Ravens?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: It's time for some Sunday Night Football, as the Baltimore Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are a 3.5-point favorite, and the total is 56. I'm Minty, here with Jared and Pam, and we're here to give you our best bets for this prime-time game. Jared, we have to start with you, because you have some family ties here, and you know what, we were both at this Ravens game in Las Vegas, so, please, walk us through your pick.

JARED QUAY: I don't want to bet it. I'm just gonna be honest. (LAUGHING) No. No, because of favoritism, I do love the Ravens. I was at their last week's game, though, and I didn't love what I saw there. The D-line wasn't able to get pressure, and that's on my brother. I put it on him. So I do like the Ravens to keep it close, if not win outright, but I think 3.5 is too much. That hook is what's gonna get you. Sunday night games have been close, I think, so I like the Ravens at 3.5, and I'm sticking by my guns, all right? I'm sticking by 'em.

MINTY BETS: All right. Pam, what do you have for us?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I also like the Ravens +3.5 at home. They may have had offensive line issues, but the Chiefs, they have red zone issues. Last year, the Chiefs, they went 6-10 against the spread overall, 2-5 against the spread as an away favorite, and so far, they're 0-1 against the spread. So, kind of following the trend, it seems like it's continuing on to 2021, and in the red zone last year, they were fifth in red zone attempts, but 11th in red zone scores, and last week, against the Browns, they had two red zone trips that resulted in field goals instead of touchdowns. Prove to me that the Chiefs can cover spreads, and maybe I'll believe you. Until then, the Ravens +3.5 at home.

MINTY BETS: OK. I think it's good that we don't all agree here, because I'm going with the Chiefs -3.5 here. Like Jared said, that O-line needs a little bit of help, and so does that pass rush. I mean, the Chiefs are 4-1 against the spread versus the Ravens, and at this time, the Chiefs are the more complete team, so, sorry to do it to you Jared, but I've gotta go with Kansas City.

JARED QUAY: I hope you're wrong. I do hope you're wrong, though.
